Let's play an entertainment game full of possibilities. The Cannes Red Carpet Game. 2015 looks pretty starry as many Hollywood stars and European cinema icons will walk the famous carpet but there are also a few stars that are newcomers plus the ones that always come to fest no matter what, but this year they have a valid reason, they are in a official selection film.Let's start with the ladies, the actresses in films competing for the Palme d'Or which only assures that most will have prime-time red carpet coverage full of crazy photographers. We can't forget that their photocalls will be noisy as well as the press conferences. But the show is when they walk the red carpet up to the 24 steps of the Palais des Festivals.
Please remember that this game is very subjective as only includes actors/actresses that I'm familiar with. So if there are omissions is entirely my fault but not my mistake.

Most interesting is to note that Isabelle Huppert and Rachel Weisz have two films in the competition, so there are chances that they will walk the red carpet twice. As a matter of fact, Isabelle Huppert has a third film in the Official Selection, Asphalte, a special screening that maybe will have a red carpet walk. We cannot forget that Emmanuelle Bercot will walk the red carpet twice, once with Mon Roi cast and another as the director of the film that will open the festival. Also there is a possibility that Marion Cotillard walks twice the red carpet, once for Macbeth and another for the Out of Competition The Little Prince as her voice is both in the English and French versions.
No doubt that the most expected photocall, press conference and red carpet if for Carol; but I'm also curious about those events for Macbeth and Mon Roi.
Let's do the same with the men, the actors in the films in competition for la Palme d'Or.

Among the men there are two that have two films in the main competition, Vincent Cassel and John C. Reilly. Most surprising is that John C. Reilly has a third film in Cannes, The Cowboys that screens in La Quinzaine. Also we know that Louis Garrel has his directorial debut film at La Semaine, so he will be around Cannes for a while.
But most interesting is G�rard Depardieu with his performance in a film in competition but also he is the object of a documentary, Depardieu grandeur nature by Richard Melloul that will be screened in the Cannes Classics program, so we know he will be celebrating for a while in Cannes.
So with just the films in competition we know we will have very easy-on-the-eyes events but wait, there is more. Let's check the Out of Competition section.

Really hope that Irrational Man has all the events as I'm very interested in all IF Joaquin Phoenix comes to Cannes. Sigh. Undoubtedly films out of competition have very good-looking actors as you can clearly see in above photo composition.
In the Out of Competition section of the Official Selection there are two animated films that surely will bring to Cannes the directors. Not often the actors that lend their voices come, but IF they come then we will be seeing in Cannes the following:
Diane Lane, Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling in the English version of Inside Out.
Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Jeff Bridges, James Franco, Paul Rudd, Benicio del Toro and Ricky Gervais for the English version of The Little Prince.
Marion Cotillard, Vincent Cassel, Guillaume Galienne, Andr� Dussolier, Vincent Lindon for the French version of Le Petit Prince.
As in previous years I'll be enjoying the cinema element of the festival but also the light entertainment side of the festival that this year promises to be more shinning, to have more glitter, to be more irreverent and inconsequent. Great!!!
